Inside Hartwell Piano Studio
Margaret Hartwell has taught in Fairhollow for nineteen years, which means she has taught a fair number of parents and is now teaching their children. The studio takes students from age six through retirement, and there is no audition to get in.
Most students come once a week and practise at home on whatever they have — an upright, a keyboard from a garage sale, occasionally nothing at all for the first month. That is fine. The studio has two pianos and the door is open between lessons for anyone who needs one.
